Volunteer for Assisting Children Through Teachers, Inc.
Assisting Children Through Teachers, Inc., operates entirely on volunteer support with the primary goal of funneling hard-earned contributions back into our community. Except for operating expenses, donations will be targeted to aid public school teachers with direct funding for their students and classrooms. In order to do this, we need your help.
If you would like to support our cause by volunteering, please consider the following opportunities:
- Fundraising Committee Volunteers: Assisting Children Through Teachers, Inc., is looking for energetic individuals who are dedicated to supporting children and teachers in our community, and who would be willing to commit to not less than 4 and no more than 10 hours a month. Volunteers will need to collaboratively plan, organize, execute, and evaluate 1-2 events per year. This position is ideal for individuals who are interested in public relations, communications, and events planning. Desired skills: the ability to communicate and work well with others, passion for designing creative and innovative projects that will engage community members and increase monthly donor support.
- Student Volunteers: Assisting Children Through Teachers, Inc., is looking to partner with students at Triangle universities and colleges who are interested in the teaching profession, both to assist in our fundraising efforts and to promote ACTT's cause. Student volunteers could have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects involving public relations, event planning, business and financial leadership, grant-writing, and fundraising. Unpaid internships are currently available.
- Accountant(s): Because we are a young nonprofit and operate entirely on volunteer support, our budget cannot yet sustain salaried employees. In order to strengthen our financial team, and to ensure fiscal accountability to our generous donors, we are seeking the part-time services of a volunteer accountant to assist our team with budget preparation, grant proposals, and grant management. Desired skills: attention to detail, experience with accounting software, database management.
